Volunteering

Volunteer at Gedling House Woods & Meadows

Our volunteers help care for Gedling House Woods & Meadows so everyone can enjoy these special places – now and in the future.

You don’t need experience, specialist skills, or lots of free time.

Whether you can spare half an hour or a whole morning, every bit of help makes a difference.

Volunteering is friendly, informal, and flexible. Come along when you can, for as long as you like.

What does volunteering involve?
Volunteering activities vary through the seasons and may include:
meadow and woodland management
– path and gate maintenance
– planting, clearing and general conservation work

Tasks are always explained on the day, and there’s no pressure to do anything you’re not
comfortable with.

Who can volunteer?
Everyone is welcome.
You can volunteer on your own, with friends, or as part of a group.
There’s no minimum commitment, and no expectation to attend regularly; just turn up
when it suits you.

Interested in getting involved?
Scan the QR code on site or get in touch via the contact details below to find out when the
next session is taking place.

We also run occasional bigger “all-hands” sessions for jobs that need extra people (think meadow raking or path improvements). These are announced first via our member email and shared on our Facebook page — keep an eye there if you’d like to jump in.
